Известный у ряда эукариот мембранный белок, участвующий в процессах адсорбции и транспорта различных веществ; К. является тримерным белком, каждая из субъединиц которого состоит из легкой (30-40 кД) и тяжелой (180 кД) цепей; у птиц и млекопитающих известны легкие цепи К. двух типов, кодируемых разными генами.
